Soopasoul returns with soul man John Turrell (of Smoove & Turrell fame), bringing you a mighty collaboration that oozes the F.U.N.K..

With authenticity shining through, 'Summer Sun' is an upbeat funk/soul bomb marrying real instrumentation with a real voice. Take a band where everything is played in live, where loops and soft synths are dropped in favour of a drum kit, guitars, bass and a funky horn section so steeped in tradition that you can feel the real deal being played out in front of your ears. Now add the vocals of the Geordie soul man and BOOM! funk dynamite!

'Southern Funk Pt.2' sees Soopasoul superbly blending 70's blaxploitation funk and block party hip hop. With percussion showcasing flair that would have Michael Viner boogieing in his grave, this is one for the b-boys and girls.
